Jane Eyre. I'm going to keep pushing it until you read it (although if you hated it, I'm not sure I could handle that).

I read a lot of young adult novels, so I'm not really to recommend too much. Although I love The Witch of Blackbird Pond if for some reason you haven't read it.

And Fahrenheit 451.
