HIMYM Finale

OH, BARNEY/ROBIN! WE GOT MAKING OUT!!!!

I think this really was the right way to go: Robin knows, both their commitment issues were on full (HILARIOUS) display, and, oh yeah, WE GOT MAKING OUT!!!

I was hoping for a little more with them at the end, but I loved what we got. They can go in so many directions from here. My interpretation is they'll be in some kind of relationship next year, but given that neither can say "I love you" without the other freaking out, I don't think they're in danger of getting married and opening that B&B anytime soon.

(ALSO. It gives me all kinds of fic ideas. Isn't nice when shows are considerate like that?)

Stupid Josh Radnor spoiled me for part about the mother. I guess we'll have to see how that works? I've had plenty of professors who I was just a name to, but would Ted really be that kind of teacher? Hm. I mean, maybe (probably) he won't fall in love with her until (much?) later, but it certainly seems like he'd have to "meet" her now.

I kind of rolled my eyes at leaping over the other building at first, but, you know what? It works. It's not like Ted has ever been the most reliable story teller.

And we got the goat!

Now let's see how Gossip Girl treats me!

Aren't you glad that I told you not to watch the promo. Because personally, I'm really glad that I told you not to. LOL! I had unfortunately seen the Barney/Robin kiss at least 100 times before tonight.
IT WAS STILL HOT THOUGH! And on a bigger screen than youtube!

I hoped for a bit more at the end too. Like after Barney jumped over I wanted him to kiss her or something (mostly because I was greedily hoping for a 2nd kiss). He did go in to hug her though.

I've had plenty of professors who I was just a name to, but would Ted really be that kind of teacher?
Well, it looked like he was teaching one of those lecture classes with 100+ students. I took a couple of those and I always felt like the professors really only knew maybe 5 students by name. And the other 95 were just numbers on a scantron. And if you were a professor that taught a lot of lecture classes? That would mean you would have literally hundreds of students every semester.

Kissing!!! Yeah, I wanted them to kiss again after they leapt across to the other roof, but I was happy with what we got. I was worried that anything from Robin's side was going to feel out of character, but I liked that they made it so she's felt something for him, but never really thought much about it or examined it because why bother, it's Barney and he's not into that kind of thing. So, I loved that it makes sense and leaves it open for them to explore her feelings more next season (and maybe Barney can woo her!) while slowly making Barney more comfortable with the idea of actually being in a relationship.

My guess with the mother being a student in Ted's class is that unless next season is the last season of the show, I think he won't actually meet the mother until after she's no longer a student in his class. Like, seasons later, she'll see him out somewhere and run up to him to introduce herself because she recognizes him as her former professor.

The leaping was super cheesy, but I just kind of loved how happy they all seemed at that moment.

I thought the whole episode was cute. I loved the jumping the ledge metaphor. Can't wait to see who the mother is.

The goat was epic!

How perfect are Robin and Barney for eachother, both with the same commitment issues and they better be in some kind of relationship next season, because I just love them so much together. That whole scene in the hospital was incredibly cute and adorable. LOVED this episode.

And LOL at the goat and Ted. xD

Yay for Barney and Robin!! It went perfect like this, I mean it's them!! They can slowly easy into whatever they'll be :)

Seems like we're slowly getting to "meeting" the mother, crossing off all the girls in that class LOL

Btw, I was wondering...where did Cobie's baby bump go? It was obviously not there during this episode. Maybe they taped it earlier because they knew they had the jumping thing and needed all of her without bags in front of her belly?
