Name: Lana
How do you spend your days? (Work, school, unemployment, watching lots of tv, etc): I'm Australian on exchange studying law in Ottawa, Canada at the moment! So I'm usually in class, doing work for class, doing work for an internet marketing company back in Australia, relaxing online or sleeping. I'm sitting in a cafe right now drinking a cupcake latte, which is also typical. I should be reading a book for my Feminist Legal Issues class tomorrow but instead I am here doing this. :P

What tv shows are you most into right now?: Being Erica, Lost Girl, Parks and Rec, Cougar Town, 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, SNL, Survivor, Greek, SVU, Weeds and The Big C definitely top the list.
How about music?: Musical theatre, Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, Meiko, Adele, April Smith and the Great Picture Show, Regina Spektor...
Books/authors?: I love lesbian historical fiction (Sarah Waters, Emma Donoghue) and memoirs. While I'm in school I love to relax with a good YA novel. At the moment I'm most enjoying YA books by Maureen Johnson and John Green.
Movies?: To be honest, I'm not much of a movie person. Give me a musical or quirky romantic comedy and I'll be happy.
Any other interests you'd like to share?: My #1 interest would be musical theatre. I go to New York and see as many shows as I can as often as possible!

Describe the contents of your most recent LJ post (in however much detail you're comfortable with): I went to see Savion Glover (a very famous tap dancer) last night and just found out I am going to be puppy-sitting for a friend's puppy! But can I cheat and also add that the post before that was when I spoke about my encounter with Tina Fey in New York? Because that happened. :D
What kind of friends are you looking for? (Fans of a particular show? People who want to talk books? Movie lovers?): I find mutual "fandoms" aren't necessarily super important, but are often a good starting point. I love friends who appreciate theatre, but that's not compulsory. People who update often and write well because I love reading posts and interacting with my flist!
How often do you read your flist? Post? Comment? Basically, how much are you around?: Every day. It's how I ~unwind.
Anything else?:
