Yeah, I think that's what makes Bitten such a favorite of mine. Meaning, like, a favorite out of Armstrong's, not just in general. I don't find a lot of urban fantasy very emotionally engaging and even Armstrong doesn't always get to me, but she seems better than most at it. (Did you finish Bitten? I can't remember!)
