Twilight trailer!!!!" (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] quenbolyn for the link).

So what does everything think????

Positives first: it looks good. Like really good. Much better than I expected it to look! And the chemistry between the leads seems to be there. Which is also vitally important.

Negatives: To me, the trailer gave off a "scary" vibe, which isn't something I ever got from the books. I still don't quite see these actors as the character, but I think that will be the case until I actually see the movie. And it's short. And the movie is still too far away!

Ok, I watched it again. Can I tell you how much I love Emmett's all gruff voice? Plus, did you notice how black Edward's eyes were in that scene?

Also, I just realized that I did not read any of the words flashing across the trailer because I was so focused on the actual film shots.

OH! and the look on Edward's face when he realizes what he's done. It's subtle, but oh so there. I'm trying to figure out what is going on with that van because it does not look like it slid on ice and Edward's hand stopped it. That is going to be a tough sell - where did the dent come from because it didn't hit anything or anyone. It doesn't appear to be as complicated an accident as in the book.

"I'm not scared of you."
"You really shouldn't have said that." - insert favorite "crooked grin" of Edward's. I love that grin!

Wow. That is a lot of dissection for an only 30 second long trailer. I bet I could write another five paragraphs though. LOL I'm so excited. I can't believe it's friggin' seven months away!! Plus, it's going to be awful going because of all the teenagers and it's going to be slammed for a week or more!

It's not like I can go during the day when all the kids will be in school because it will be during winter break. Ugh, the humanity. My movie going experience is the most important, don't they know that? LOL

Dissert away! This movie is making me so happy right now!!! It's like the movie is real now and I have a good idea of what it's going to be like and it's going to be GOOD.

You're right--it really doesn't like the van slid on ice. Weird. But that scene looks awesome. Edward watching her right before it happened! You can really see that chemistry and attraction. *happy sigh*

And I think they're going to be able to really pull off these roles. That they're really going to BE Edward and Bella for me. Eek! Why is this movie so far away???

Ha! I'm totally trying to figure out when to see this movie, too. Should I see it at midnight? Because that would be awesome, but the theater is sure to be full of teenagers. So maybe I should see it at like, 11 at the morning, which I've discovered to be a pretty good movie time?

That's what I thought I'd do, the 11 am thing, but then I realized that they will all be on winter break and it will probably still be packed. Ah well, we'll see.

You know what is so funny? I'm so stilted and awkward in social situations, which I'm sure you noticed when we hung out a million years ago, but when we talk online I'm fluid. I think I'm just one of those people who are better when it's writing and on the phone (I'm so good on the phone) than in person.

No, I didn't notice. Probably because I'm not at my best in social situations either! (Although I'm getting better.)

I really wish I could transfer my online social skills to real life. It's just so much easier this way.
