I feel like a stalker, but I am still wondering in which direction the age at which you read Little Women affects how you feel about the pairings. x_x

...This will be awkward if you are not the person I'm thinking of.

Er, that was probably me. Sorry, I thought I answered you.

Generally, I think the younger you read it the more attached to Jo/Laurie you are. That's not always true, just something I've noticed.

Oh, okay. That's what I figured it probably was - would make sense, in terms of how people relate to romance at different ages and stages of life - but I must be an anomaly, or something. Or maybe, more accurately, LW is an anomaly for me. Or...hmmm.

You know, the very, very first time I read LW, it was the abridged version and I was...nine, maybe? and I don't know if I even quite understood that Amy and Laurie got married, because it wasn't as heavy on the later parts? XD Or maybe I did. They also translated Professor Bhaer's line, where he's like, "Monsieur de Trop," or whatever, to Monsieur Too-Many or something like that, and I think of that whenever I reread, which is really a very good thing because I don't know French and would've gone on for years not knowing what the humor was.

I was eleven, I think, when I read the complete book. <33333

OH, LITTLE WOMEN, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Hee, got into a fun conversation about the Little House books at dinner on Saturday, too...oooooh, that reminds me of that whole Green Gables thing...

which reminds me I need to get this month's book.
