realizes's awesome new community,
booksthatarenot!
Remember that series you were in to in 4th, 6th, maybe 8th grade? That you checked out ALL the books from the library of, that you would have totally participated in online fandom for? Also, since you were probably only getting your recommendations from teachers/librarians/parents/friends, you may have missed a few. Or do you want to get acquainted with other books for young adults besides Twilight and Harry Potter? Well, here is your chance to do it and discuss it and meet other people who like the same books as you.
This community will be a reading group in which we rediscover our old favorites and discover new ones that passed us by, but are not the ones that you hear about ALL the time. Examples include A Wrinkle In Time, The Dark is Rising, Call of the Wild, etc.
I can't wait to read all of my old favorites! And catch up on the books I've missed. (Despite popular belief, there really are lots of books I haven't read!)
