YOU GUYS, I JUST WANT TO POST BASELBALLLLLL! BASEBALLLLLLL! The Mariners are on pace for 162-0! (Isn't the beginning of the season fun???) And, like, I know it'll probably all crash and burn soon enough, so I'm trying to enjoy the winning while I can!

So there's a game at 11 on Wednesday and it's a Felix start, so I'm VERY GRUMPY that I'll probably be at work. Probably because I kind of think the job won't last till the scheduled end date (Friday)? Not that they've told us that, but they hired a lot more people than they expected, so. Anyway, my point is FELIXXXXX. (Even though I'd feel the same way about Bedard and Pineda! Yesterday I realized that I actually really like our rotation this year, which is kind of an amazing feeling, since, by the end of last year, ughhh.)

I have to go to my cousin's daughter's sixth birthday party tomorrow, which I didn't find out about until tonight (I've told my mom I like to know these things in advance! I do have plans, even if they don't involve leaving the house, you know? I mean, I did find out about the party, I think, yesterday, but not that I was expected to go.) And, besides, she can't possibly be turning six. That's so old!

I was reminded tonight that there is a character on Sanctuary named after my high school. And, I mean, my high school is probably the only one with that name. SO. I forget if I ever found out how that happened.

And, oops, in the same category as, "how is my cousin's daughter six?", how is after midnight??? Off to bed!

Southern Vampire Series Book 8 )

Okay, I've seen three episode and I'm LOVING True Blood. It's kept the same cheesy, campy element that made the books so fun. And the guys are HOT! I'm totally in love with Sam.

And I'm ever so glad HBO continues to educate me about sex.

A couple more True Blood comments )

Brothers & Sisters )

1. [livejournal.com profile] wings4music wrote an re-mix of my recent HIMYM fic and you should all go read it here because it's awesome.

2. And I finished my character meme answers, which makes me awesome, too. (But feel free to request more!)

3. About crossword puzzles and presidential candidates. (It made me laugh!)

4. School starts on Monday (so late! I know!). Mostly I'm excited, but I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to get back in the mindset of class, homework, having things to do other than watch TV and surf the internet . . .

5. I thought I wasn't excited for The Office, but two hours before it began, I started running around my apartment, cleaning and organizing, because I was too impatient to sit still!

The Office!!!!! )

Grey's Anatomy )

In my unofficial and just made up The Office vs. Grey's Anatomy competition, The Office wins!

Also, my mom didn't send me any of her thoughts on Grey's Anatomy. This makes me sad.

ETA: You all suck because not nearly enough of you are talking about The Office. I HATE YOU! (Okay, no, I love each and everyone of you. But WATCH THE OFFICE!)

Fringe

I tried to get my mom to watch Fringe, but she said "I read about that TV show--something about nightmare/horror coming to life--think I can skip it!" Darn her for being all literate and informed. (Okay, fine, she would've hated it. Whatever.)

She's also telling me the plot of the latest Lori Wick book (Christian romance) and making it sound VERY soap operatic. Maybe I should be trying to get her to watch Gossip Girl!

Anyway . . .

Fringe! )

I e-mailed my mom to remind my dad to watch Bones tonight. She e-mailed me back and said:

"OK--I put a note on dad's placemat to remind him!"

Should that amuse me as much as it does?

The things I feel guilty about. I sat down to watch Bones, feeling happy about having one of my favorite shows back, and then the opening credits started and I realized I'd forgotten to remind my dad to watch it! So I rushed over to my computer and sent off an e-mail to my parents. My mom replied back that he was watching it, and was going to send me an e-mail berating me for not reminding him!

Anyway, Bones . . . )

Also watched the New Amsterdam finale )

I had a friend over tonight, which meant I didn't watch the American Idol results until 10. No big deal, right? I was pretty sure Syesha was the one going.

American Idol spoilers )

Ugh. And my real life American Idol friend didn't watch yet. Did you all watch? Are you all asleep now? Will someone please talk to me about this?

Other events: I was blissfully happy about 30 Rock, The Office and Scrubs, all of which had great episodes.

A seminar discussion this morning about the internet and privacy prompted me to set my MySpace to private (something I should've done a long time ago) and I just got an e-mail from my mom asking me why I made it private. Freaky.

Oh man, Heath Ledger died? I liked him. And I don't remember ever hearing a bad thing about him.

And my grandma's in the hospital with pneumonia.

I don't like today.

So I just finished the latest Princess Mia by Meg Cabot. It ended up being one of my favorite of the series! Has anyone else read it? I know some of you read Meg Cabot sometimes . . .

So, spoilers about the book )

Oh, and my sister canceled on me, too! It's like there's some kind of conspiracy. Because both my sister and my friend were really enthusiastic about our plans and both of them fell through. But my sister is coming over tomorrow and I'm sure my friend and I will set up something, too. And now I'm going to watch the last episodes (until . . . ???) of 30 Rock and Grey's Anatomy.

Oh my gosh. I never remember from year to year how exhausting wrapping presents is. I just finished and now I want to go to bed. And for all that work, I can't even make the packages look pretty, like some people (like my sister!) do.

Before the great present-wrapping experience, I watched the second season of Slings & Arrows and I'm still in love with it. And I found the third season (yay!), so I'll watch it tomorrow. It's one of those shows with super-short seasons (6 episodes each), but sometimes I think that's the better way. Our long American TV seasons seem to inevitably include weaker episodes, you know?

Also today, I decided I hate my mom. But not for the usual reasons. See, I walked by some Christmas trees--didn't stop, just walked by--and that was enough for my mother-inherited allergies to act up a little. They didn't used to be that bad, but now I seem to be reacting to all plants and flowers, just like she does. I've had to stop using some of my favorite Bath & Body lotions.

Hm. I might hate my sister, too, now that I think about it, because she didn't inherit the allergies . . .

I really liked Drive! Very fast paced with interesting characters and already plenty of questions I want answered.

(My sister's on my floor crying because I won't give her her birthday present.)
