The Heather Wells mysteries are being optioned for a television series too. (Those are my favorites.) But I love Kristen Bell, and I think the movie would be great!
And yes, coffeepots are exceedingly important.
My plans are usually just a cookout with my family (although I actually had plans this year with a couple of friends), but we're fairly small and very close-knit (just my grandparents, my two uncles, my parents, and us, and occasionally my brother and his fiancee) so I can understand the crowd/noise thing.
