Oooh, interesting. I actually liked that they continued mentioning her because I didn't expect them to, and I thought the Doctor should mourn her. Not forever, but she deserved that. And I watched it with the knowledge that she was coming back, so I figured they were reminding us of her on purpose. (And I did like her and Doctor/Rose, so, yes, shippy viewpoints always play a role. ;)
Going back to Grey's, I've actually thought they should mention Burke a little more (maybe not now, but last season). He and Cristina nearly got married, and we barely got see her mourn him. With Izzie/Denny, we already saw her deal with his death and (I thought!) move on.
