That excuse doesn't make it better. And it's close enough to what Shonda previously denied to make me wonder if fans hated it so much (and I believe they do) that she decided to use the excuse fans had come up with.
Either way, it's awful. First Rebecca, and now Izzie? (and they managed to have Rebecca go crazy without guest stars).
