This is so true. I didn't like the last episode much, but I saw the complaints on Barney being mean when I didn't see it as being out there. Um, how often is he even nice? What I love about characters is recognizing that they are human and people--their flaws are inherent, and you can't make excuses for them, or complain when they act a particular way when it's in frickin character!
