Can't wait to read the articles on this one. 0-0 heading until the bottom of the 14th. 2 outs. 2 on. Every other baseball game has been over for ages.

Ken Griffey Jr. pinch hits and the crowd automatically rises to its feet. Everyone has their cameras out. (This happens often for him. Even more so when it's this kind of at bat.)

And he wins it with a base hit.

I don't know if this is going to be Junior's last year. I don't know if it should be. I love him way too much to be impartial. But if it is, I hope he announces it. He means so much to Seattle. Safeco Field is referred to as "the House that Griffey built." And it's true. The Mariners would be long gone if it weren't for Junior and that magic season of 1995. (Literally. We'd voted down a new stadium, and then when the Mariners started winning, a special session was called to approve funding.) And the fact that he came back to the team and that he still has moments like this . . . I want us to have a chance to show our appreciation to him.

Do you think they'll be together?

I don't know. I feel like they have to be very careful right now because I know the "tv thing" to do is keep them apart, but . . . it's so on the verge of being ridiculous if they don't. Cappie's wanted her forever and now that Casey finally wants him back . . . he turns her down? I understood his motivation in the moment, but I'm not sure if it'll make sense if they're apart for much longer.

I feel like they're kind of a unique couple because I have zero doubt that they'll be together at some point and, not only that, but STAY TOGETHER. Like I completely see them getting married and having babies, which I can't say for most couples. So I could see them waiting until the very end to put them together . . . but I hope they don't. I think there's enough other stuff going on for it to be okay if they're together.

LOL. That was a really long answer. What do you think?

I feel like they could potentially keep them apart for a bit because Cappie had some valid points, and I'd like to see him getting his life together for HIM and not for Casey.

If they don't get together right away I hope they don't have Casey getting together with someone else. I'd like to see her learn how to be alone too.

But I'd also for once like to see a couple work through those kinds of issues together. Not that he changes for Casey, but that he could change while they were together. Too often it's played as an "either/or" situation, but I think you can be a couple and still have personal growth.

But, yes, I think that's the other side of it. Letting Casey be alone for a while. Besides, I get so sick of the love interests you know aren't going anywhere, lol! I mean, I LIKED Max, but at one point, I just went, "Oh, Casey's just going to break your heart." That's not really fun to watch after a while . . .

Especially after the episode where that was basically the main conflict was that Casey can't be alone. I think everyone should be ok enough with themselves that they don't need someone else there ALL THE TIME.

And I do get frustrated with . . . okay, I know Casey is pretty and popular and all, but in real life, people ARE SINGLE A LOT OF THE TIME!

lol, it's true. I like the show because I think it is pretty realistic in terms of the characters, but man, Casey has just gone from one guy to the next.

YES. I really loved that story in s1 (I think) when Rusty practically stalks that girl he likes with the message board and mix tape and all. So often on tv that kind of behavior is played as being okay (and even romantic!), but they made it actually realistic! I'd be so freaked out if a guy did that to me.

I don't think so. I think he was only ever a guest star. But I wanted that, too, especially since they were kinda setting it up similar to Cappie/Casey/Evan, and Cappie and Evan seem to be working things out.

Oh, and I kinda hate the way they're playing the Dale thing? I mean, people should freaking be respected for the choices they make about sex. His girlfriend is harassing him and I'm not okay with that.

Yeah, I'm not sure I like it either. But it kind of weirds me out that he's with her at all. I mean I guess it's ok because he's 18 but I don't know.

Yeah. That, too. And I think . . . I know they're trying to play it for comedy, but I guess, even putting aside all the other issues I mentioned, if you're going to make me believe Dale is maybe going to lose his virginity (when his purity pledge has been a HUGE part of his character) . . . I don't want it to go that way. I need to see more of it and I need to believe in it, you know?

I really hope Dale doesn't lose his virginity to her. If he is going to do it, it should be with someone he really loves, and they haven't shown us that with Nina (is that even her name? I'm not even sure)

I can't even remember her name! But, yeah, I guess that's what I was trying to say. If you're going to show Dale tempted, make it because he loves her. I feel like Dale could resist all the other pressures of sex.

Yeah, I just feel like it's so important that Dale, he should be able to resist! I always felt like he had a good idea of the temptations--not that he's not tempted, but that he really WAS strong enough to resist them.

Plus, I'd just like to see him get a real romance I can believe in. He's a good guy!
