Yeah. And I realize that no playoff system is perfect and it's not like the best team always--or often--wins the world series, but ONE GAME? It's one thing if we'd actually had Game 163s this year because teams were tied . . . but I don't think this will have that level of excitement.
Oh wow, that IS a really good point! That could have a HUGE effect on the results and . . . huh, teams--in both leagues, really, but it does seem like it'll hit the AL harder--might have to really change how they construct rosters. They're going to have to think about things like that. And maybe eventually add the DH to the NL? (I can't see them eliminating it.) (And yeah. It's still a while off and we kind of knew it was coming, so I'm okay with ignoring it for now!)
