My bathtub faucet is fixed! I don't know when the guys got here, but they were still here when I got home at two and for about twenty minutes after that. I guess they found some other things to fix. I know I should feel lucky to have overzealous maintenance guys, since it's better than the ones who never do anything . . . but also, I'd just as soon they just fix what I asked and leave.

On to a completely different topic . . .

I love that I can carry on an academic conversation about math and then smoothly transition to chatting about American Idol. I feel like so many people (especially in settings like college) think you need to pick one or the other. Interested in studying or pop culture. And both sides look at the other with disdain. But I like living in both worlds. Anyone with me?

I like both worlds! (though honestly, know next to nothing about math----2 + 2 = 4, right?) :)

I had a similar conversation about a week ago, I remember having it, but I can't remember what it was about now. (I'm getting old. Or something. )

Yay! Math isn't really my favorite subject because numbers scare me, but sometimes I like it.

And I blame my memory problems (and lots of other problems) on hunger. It's a great excuse! ;)

They shouldn't! But so many people seem to believe that. You know, the people who are so convinced that not watching TV makes them intellectual. As if you can't watch TV and be smart, too!
