I love it when TV shows make me root for infidelity! Come on! Dwight and Angela alone in the office??? I also love it when TV shows get me so excited and nothing actually happened.
And rooting for Jim to make the sale! Because he has to make it so he can propose! And look at how cute and adorably embarrassed Jim and Pam were about kissing in front of the cameras and everything. I almost thought he was going to propose right then and there.
But that tag scene makes me a little nervous. Pam's allowed to pursue her dreams, certainly, and she can even go to New York or Philadelphia, but she has to take Jim with her! (And stay on the show.)
Um, Michael. Jim doesn't love his job as much as you think he does. Or at all. Gosh, he and Pam should quit and go to New York or Philadelphia. Except for not because then who would I squee about every week?
Also, I think my mom just spoiled me for Grey's Anatomy. Well, not really, but what's she doing e-mailing me in the middle of the show? Especially since I'm not watching it until later.
I wasn't as into this episode as last week's so this won't be super long tonight.
I still have questions though. How did Richard know to check out Locke as soon as he was born? How did he got off the island? Why was Locke choosing the knife so bad? (And does that mean Locke is NOT special?) And how does Richard never age?
Was that really Christian Shepherd or just some kind of manifestation? Is Christian really dead? And was that really Claire? She was acting strange. Would she really be that calm?
I also started wondering what happens to Desmond. He better get off the island for Penny!
My mom didn't really spoil me. All I read was "I hope that wasn't that big kiss," and all that told me was that a kiss that could be construed as big happened. And now after seeing the episode, I'm not even sure what kiss she meant. The soldiers, I guess, because I can't remember any other kisses and she probably would call that big. (I can't believe he died! I normally don't care about patient deaths, but that one sucked.)
Anyway, this was the first episode in a really long time that I've truly enjoyed (even though some of the things I say might make it sound otherwise).
I LOVED Cristina tonight. She's my favorite and she's been so underutilized this season. And, seriously, Hahn's treating her like CRAP. Cristina is an AWESOME surgeon and she DESERVES to be treated as such. I'm so glad it looks like she's standing up for herself! (But ugh. I loved Burke/Cristina. Why did Isaiah Washington have to open his mouth?)
I'm also really really glad Izzie didn't say anything. Obviously, she's in a really tough situation, but it was the right thing. You CAN'T violate patient confidentiality. I mean, I worked at a hospital last summer where I had zero patient interaction and still had that drilled into my head.
It's okay, Alex. I forgot you slept with Lexie, too.
You know there ARE male nurses. Not a lot, no, but Seattle Grace has some. And presumably Mark hasn't slept with them. Even if the guys were just standing up for the female nurses, I think that should've been addressed.
And, okay, here's my mini-rant. I feel like I'm watching season two again. Meredith trying to respect Derek's relationship, even though he's with another woman, and Derek not doing the same. OF COURSE Meredith is scared! Relationships are scary to begin with, and Derek's burned her over and over again! He doesn't tell her he's married and then he picks his wife over her. He pursues a relationship with Meredith, KNOWING she has issues and then dumps her for them.
I HATE that this show acts like Derek is perfect. He's NOT. And the thing is, he doesn't have to be! I like my leading men to be a little flawed. But I always get the impression that we're supposed to think Derek is the perfect man and Meredith is the poor screw up. Why can't we see Derek working through his issues? Why couldn't we at least get him NOT jumping immediately into another relationship? People are allowed to be single, you know. It just feels like it devalues his and Meredith's relationship.
I know I'm breaking my "happy TV thoughts only" rule, but this one really gets to me.
I also watched 30 Rock and Scrubs. I always feel so accomplished when I finish Thursday night TV. There's just so much of it! I'm kind of tired here and it's nearly one, but I think I'm to squeeze in another episode of How I Met Your Mother anyway. Aren't addictions fun?

Date: 2008-05-09 01:51 pm (UTC)I love Meredith, she's my favorite, and yeah I also think that McDreamy is shown as a bit too perfect.
And you never know---maybe when Sloan was desperate he went for those male nurses?
And what is going on with Hahn and Callie? Cause imho, Hahn's laugh was a bit forced there at the end....
And I think the whole thing with Lexie and Alex was to remind US after the strike...I didn't remember either. :)

And what is going on with Hahn and Callie? Cause imho, Hahn's laugh was a bit forced there at the end....
Yeah! I forgot to talk about that. I'm not sure I really like that idea. They've both been established as straight women, and I kind of like the vibe Callie has with Mark.

Date: 2008-05-09 05:10 pm (UTC)Cristina IS kick ass, but she's been less so this season. Go back to your old awesomeness, Cristina! :)

Date: 2008-05-09 05:12 pm (UTC)What about George being the "chief's intern"? Does this mean he's going to get less surgeries, cause how often do we really see the chief in surgery? It seems like he's going to be a secretary or something, you know? But I am beginning to love George again, now that there's no weird awkward relationship with Izzy.
