Does anyone know why last night's Battlestar Galactica wasn't up on Hulu or the SciFi website? Was it just to torture me? Anyway, I did see it and . . .
I liked this episode! This is one of those shows I wish were a little more compressed. The first couple of episodes of this season and the last couple have been really good, but there a couple in between that just felt like filler.
I, um, really don't think that was part of Laura's plan. Oops.
Do we know "the truth" the Cylons don't want the humans do know? I don't mind shows keeping secrets from me, but I like to know what I'm supposed to know.
I really liked Laura and Lee/the quorum coming to more of an understanding. It's one of those situations where both sides have valid points.
I also really liked the conversation between Kara and Roslin.
Look, Lee and Kara were in the same scene!
I'm getting more and more on board with the idea that Gaeta is the final Cylon. I suppose I don't have a ton to back that up, but he's getting more screentime . . .
This show is mean to Tory. Everyone's all "go have sex with Baltar to find out information." Ugh.
Oooh, what does the Opera House vision mean? I'm more intrigued than ever.

Date: 2008-05-17 07:26 pm (UTC)I have thought Gaeta was a cylon for quite some time now, and I kept telling my friends during the commerical breaks/at the end. Of course, this turned into a debate (since they are all Computer Science majors and started discussing cylon technology) and they missed the preview for next week.
I think it has to be either Gaeta, Dee, Zarek or another Adama (because of the "Adama's a cylon" comment), but Gaeta makes the most sense based on the qualifications/hints. He's been in it since the first season, is a prominent but second tier character, and he is coming to the forefront as Dee is being pushed quite to the back. Both Gaeta and Dee have prominent positions that if they were cylons and knew about it, could have positive or negative repercussions on the fleet. Zarek would be compelling only because of his ties to the TOS and the Presidency, but we already have the "goverment" cylon. And it *should* be a resistance participant/someone needing redemption, and Dee's worst moment was stringing Billy along.
Thus, with Gaeta as a cylon, there would be the "rebel, the insurgency "leader", the support and the "goverment/religion," and who better to signify their cylon leader than the one who governs the basics of the fleet mechanics. "Prior to the attack, he was studying biogenetics and planned to get a degree through the military extension program." Also sounds very cylony. "He exhibits a strong attention to detail and is highly efficient. These tendencies and his overall ability have led William Adama to rely heavily on him as a member of Galactica's command crew, despite his relative youth and junior rank." Again, very capable, very in power, very ingrained in the plot-driven aspect, he is LITERALLY taking them to earth.
lol I should repost this to my journal for comments.

I used to think Dee was a good choice, but she just doesn't have enough screentime lately.
