Another Bones Finale Interview


I always thought Bones was a show that planned things in advance. At least, I think they have the Booth/Brennan relationship somewhat planned out and I assumed that the Gormogon story was, too.

And to hear the creator say "Let's shock everyone" just offends me. I don't mind the occasional storyline just for shock value (I have a feeling some of my favorite romantic storylines started that way), but when you're talking about turning a beloved character into a murderer . . . I need more justification than that.


There might be some HIMYM fic in a bit. I think.

I think what he meant to say was that the relationships are stable, and was afraid that people would get bored with that. On a show like Grey's Anatomy, everyone is always breaking up and getting together with someone else, and Bones doesn't have that. I think they did this so that they could introduce the new intern and have the cast react more to things happening within their group.

But couldn't they just have had Zack leave for some other reason then? This was just so extreme. :(

I agree, expecially since it probably won't even be mentioned next season unless they go visit him.

It just makes me feel so differently about the show, you know? And Bones has been one of my favorites for so long. It sucks

Yeah! I think I would've been a little disappointed if they hadn't resolved the storyline this season . . . but it would've been better than this. Everything was just so rushed.

Yeah, I think I would've always been upset if it were Zack, but I wish they'd been able to build it up more!
