This is somwhat random, but Comic-Con coverage has reminded me of things and I can't sleep so . . .


Bones: Well, the Zack thing, of course! And not really because it was rushed. Mostly, I didn't want Bones to be that kind of show. The show where someone you loved and trusted turns out to be a bad guy. I have plenty of other shows where I can get that storyline. I wanted Bones to be different. I wanted them to keep the family element of the team.

Brothers & Sisters: I was willing to go along with the de-Walkering of Rebecca, but, why, why WHY did they have to throw another Walker kid into the mix? I already SAW that story. I don't need to see it again. Plus, it devalues William's relationship with both Nora and Holly. They spent two seasons convincing me that William loved both of them . . . now you're telling me he was doubly unfaithful? Not cool.

The Office: I feel incredibly cheated that we didn't get a Jim/Pam proposal. They spent all that time setting it up and didn't follow through. Have Pam say no, make it the cliffhanger, but don't leave us hanging! If the show follows its usual pattern, the fifth season will open three months later, which means either the proposal happened and we didn't get to see it (which I could live with if they hadn't built it up so much!) or it hasn't happened yet, which likely means a very unhappy Pam.


Agree? Disagree? Have something that will make me feel better? Or that will help me fall asleep?

Well, I think Bones did it because they're not that kind of show, and they wanted to really shake things up. And I think the family element will be even stronger this year. Plus Zach is supposed to be back, at least for an episode. (And the premiere was partially filmed at Canary Warf!)


And I agree about B&S -- especially since William didn't leave anything to that kid. But I really can't stand Holly, and I would like to see her put in her place.

Yeah, I think I might feel better about Zack once he comes back and they deal with it more. It was just so jarring, in the finale.

I didn't know it was filmed at Canary Warf! I hope it's not completely obvious or I'll never be able to concentrate. :)

Right! And part of the way they found out Rebecca was because of how much William left to Holly. Why wouldn't he do that for another kid? I don't mind Holly--and these days I think the Walkers (especially Sarah) treat her more badly than she treats them--but I wouldn't mind if she went away, either.

Yep! The first two episodes (although I believe they're being shown in a two hour premiere) take place in England. I think it'll be fun to look for the parts shot at CW.

I used to feel bad for her, but the way she acted with the deal to bail out the company and stuff just really irritated me. And yeah, since he knew that other kid was his, why wouldn't he make some sort of provision for him?

Yeah, definitely! I'm excited that they actually went to England and didn't fake it.

Sarah irritated me more with the deal stuff. Really, I hope they drop all the Holly tension. It's been long enough now.

I think the same thing about B&S. I was biased w/the Rebecca thing b/c I saw her chemistry w/Justin, so the whole twist not being a twist was fine with me. However, the introduction of another kid does further tarnish his relationship w/Nora, & I don't like that. There's other aspects that could be explored & the current characters' lives should be enough to keep not only the intrigue but also to add to the purpose of the show.

The Ryan thing now just looks like one those 'drama for the sake of drama' plot lines & that's sort of tacky.

Yeah, once they started really amping up the chemistry between Rebecca and Justin, I was pretty okay with her not being a Walker. And it WILL be interesting to see how that happens, Rebecca transitioning from being their sister to Justin's girfriend. :)

Yeah. B&S seems to have a tendency to be repetitive (all the cheating stories, Justin being an addict again) and now they're doing another illegitimate kid story. How is it going to be different from Rebecca's initial story?

I'm hoping they'll make me feel better about Zack this season. I've been watching some first season episodes and he's so cute and innocent!

Yeah, I did like most of the Office finale (especially Dwangela!!!!), but I feel so cheated about the proposal. :(
