Jul. 12th, 2008 12:59 pm1. I've been wearing skirts lately. Which is a little unusual for me. (Although I own a bunch . . . what's up with that?) I don't really like my legs and I don't like people commenting on my ankle tattoo (it's like when people tell me "Wow, you're really short!" Yes, I know I'm short. I know I have a tattoo. Let's move on, please.) . . . but apparently I'm over both of those things now. Or at least I've wised up to the fact that skirts are a fabulous clothing choice in hot weather! A much wiser choice than the jeans I've spent previous summers in. So today I'm wearing this skirt that feels really, really short. It's not. It's barely above my knees. But shorter than my other skirts! Anyway, I think I should run out and buy a bunch more skirts. Except for not, since I don't have money, especially since . . .
2. I totally broke down and bought the first two Diana Peterfreund books. I read Rites of Spring (Break) last night and it was great, and I want to read the entire series over again (and complain about the year long wait for the next book!). Anyway, these are great books! Chick lit about a college secret society. Lots of fun and a romance the author herself compares to Logan & Veronica. I'm picky about new books these days. I read a lot and enjoy pretty much everything I finish (so everything listed here), but these books are among the few that I can put in the "love" category.
3. And all of that means that, even though yesterday I said I was going to spend all day watching TV and I really did plan to clean my apartment as well, I've devoted my day to reading Diana Peterfreund's blog instead.
4. ( A pretty darn accurate quiz )
The lonely part isn't true anymore, so maybe I'm on my way to the ruling the world part?
