I've had several Angel vs. Spike discussions lately, so I decided to post a poll to answer that and other questions of similar importance.[Poll #1215050][Poll #1215050]
I found it extremely easy to choose - well, and I don't watch four of the shows you listed.
Angel vs Spike was easy because I find Angel boring. Angelus is entertaining, but I still prefer Spike. Dawson vs Pacey... well, I can't stand Dawson so that was easy. Same goes for Jack vs Sawyer. D:
Had no idea about Ben or Noel... Besides Aidan we got the same choices then :D Well minus Doctor Who since I haven't seen that yet and with Logan and Duncan I'm really not sure because I still gotta watch season 2 and 3.
With both Ben and Noel and Aidan and Big, I think I ultimately just went with what the characters wanted, you know? Because all four of them are such great guys! It's not like Dawson and Pacey or Logan and Duncan, where I kind of hate one of the characters involved. ;)
That was actually pretty easy. I like Spike, but I love David Boreanaz, so I had to pick Angel. Can't stand Dawson or Duncan. And I picked Nine, but I really do like Ten too -- that was the only tough one (Nine won because he was my introduction -- and I love Christopher Eccleston).
I'm with you on hating Dawson and Duncan. I normally don't hate TV characters, but those two . . . *shudder* And I'm an Angel girl. I'm actually surprised that he's winning, since I always thought that was the minority opinion. But then I think Bones has increased everyone's David Boreanaz love.
But I did go with Ten--which was a hard decision for me, too, since I do love Nine. David Tennant just had more time to win me over.
Especially when it comes to Dawson's Creek! It was Dawson's show and he still didn't get the girl. I enjoyed that. :)
Oh, true. I'd say that's probably my least favorite aspects of Ten. Drawn out love stories, like Ten/Rose, are great, but it's never fun to watch a character fall in love in a single episode. I can never quite believe it.
I know! That really said something about his personality, that he ended up alone.
I agree. I love Ten/Rose, but seriously. Madame Pompador (or however you spell it), Joan Redfern, Astrid, River Song... it's just not realistic that given what his life has been like that he would continue to form romantic attachments -- and it cheapens what he had with Rose. Maybe he'll get a male companion next year.
Especially since . . . I mean, season 3 was so clearly about mourning Rose that it seemed out of character when he'd go and fall for someone else.
I'd enjoy a male companion! I really like it when Jack is on the show (although I guess that's a romantic bond in some people's heads--including, possibly, Jack's!).
So I answered this on my phone, so I couldn't comment, but HOW THE HECK CAN YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN TEN AND NINE! I had to do eeney meeney miney moe!
I KNOW! I think that's the hardest one! I went with Ten, without too much problem, but if Christopher Eccleston had had more seasons, I'm not sure I could EVER decide.
he has amazing fantastic roadrunner hair....I really wish I was the girl who got to run her fingers though his hair on the friday night project, I'm jealous, I ain't gonna lie.
I'm surprised how easy I found this poll. The only ones I wasn't sure about are the two shows I don't watch religiously- Lost and Felicity. The rest were no-brainers. :)
Except now I'm thinking about how much I love Spike as a character, though not with Buffy.
Yeah, it was easier than I expected for me, too. I think if I put characters from different shows up against each other, I'd have trouble choosing, but, as is, I normally had a clear favorite. :)
I like Spike, too, and I even liked his falling for Buffy . . . but I was an Angel/Buffy fangirl to the end. They were so clearly the great loves of each other lives that I could never get used to seeing either of them with anyone else.
I just loved Joey/Pacey. When I started watching the show, I thought I'd like Joey/Dawson better, but it didn't turn out that way. Anyway, I thought it was a really well done love triangle.
I always have to go with Big because Carrie cheated on Aidan with Big! I couldn't believe Aidan took her back after that. So, in a weird way, I ended up not liking Carrie/Aidan because I wanted better for him! :)
You know, the funny thing I realized is that I'm really NOT that much about the bad boys. Logan, of course. And Pacey was much more of a bad boy than Dawson. But then I love Angel and Jack . . . so, um, I guess I'm just dreadfully inconsistent.

True. I just rewatched season one, so I have Nine on the brain. And I have to say that Ten's tendency to fall in love - a lot - lost him a few points.
